Inspired by the "" thread --- I used to buy a lot of toys as a kid, and I still have most of them. Some Matchbox/Hot Wheels/Classic G.I. Joes/etc --- when I get a junior --- I'm wondering kung mapapamana ko sa kanya yun.
Anyone here na nagdaan na dito? I want to teach my kid the value of taking care of toys, pero also enjoying them.

HTH

I have this stuff toy squirrel with me since I was single. It was given to me by a good friend (now my hubby). It was a souvenir from our trip to Enchanted Kingdom way back in December 1996 (I was with my sister as a chaperon).
I named it "squirky" since then.
I haven't noticed that years passed, so many events happened in my life.
I found it inside a cabinet and I gave it to my eldest daughter who just turned 9yrs old this January 25, 2010. I have told her stories of "squirky" and she was inspired by it.
I haven't planned on giving her my toy. It just came out of the closet.
I told my daughter to take care of "squirky" who will be turning 14 yrs. old this coming December 2010.
Some of my toys are not visible by now (I can only recall in my memory...besides, those toys I had would be greatly different in technology as to what my kids are playing with them by now ) , it was the only one left.
I borrow some toy cars with my son and we play those.
If I have toys still living by now, I would be glad to give those to my kids for it will have a sentimental value, and with that, I can share my past with them.
